The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee has introduced H.R. 3, “The Transportation Equity Act- A Legacy for Users (TEA-LU),” legislation to reauthorize federal highway and transit programs at $283 billion over the next five years. The program’s temporary authority, which has been continuing on short-term extensions for over a year and a half is set to expire on May 31.
