1. What design software
does Reproductions support?
For the PC, we support Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and
PowerPoint as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
and Acrobat.
For the Macintosh, we support Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,
PageMaker, InDesign and Acrobat as well as Macromedia Freehand
and Quark Xpress.
2. How should I save my files?
For layout packages such as PageMaker or Publisher, we prefer
you to save a file as a PDF. This will embed all the required
fonts and graphics. If you cannot save it as a PDF, the next
best option is to save it as a Postscript file.
3. Do I need to supply fonts or graphics?
If you have saved your file in native software format (other
than a PDF or Postscript file), then we require all linked
graphics and copies of any fonts used in your design. When
in doubt, please include anything used in creating the document
as well as a small proof of the desired finished product.
4. Do I need to supply Reproductions with a proof?
While a proof isn’t absolutely necessary, we do highly
recommend it. You are the only one who knows what the final
product should look like, so it’s important that you
communicate that to us be providing a proof. Generally a black-and-white
81/2 x 11 print of the project is sufficient as long as it
provides enough detail for us to determine if correct fonts
and graphics.
5. On which media does Reproductions print?
Vellum, Bond, Acetate or Mylar

6. Can I bring my own media for Reproductions
to print on?
No…the media we use is specifically made for inkjet
printing, and unexpected results such as damage to the plotter
can occur if we use inappropriate media.
7. How wide can we make a print?
36 inches wide by any length
8. How much can Reproductions enlarge a print?
400 percent 9. How come the printed colors don’t
look like they do on my screen? How come your printer colors
don’t match my printer colors?
A shift in color from computer to printer does occur. For
the most part, software does a reasonable job of translating
from one mode to the other, but some colors pose more of a
problem. There are also variations among printers. We can’t
accurately predict if the printed result will match your expectations
from the colors you see on your computer screen. Therefore
we do not guarantee exact color matching.
10. How long will we keep scan or printing files on our system?
Approximately two weeks unless other arrangements are made

7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays;
closed Sundays

13. What type of plotter do we use?
